Pilea involucrata 'Moon Valley'

€7.45
Sold Out

This plant is often sold as Pilea mollis or just Pilea 'Moon Valley'. Which of the two botanical names for this plant is actually correct is a matter of debate.

No matter what the name is, she is easy to care for, both in the terrarium and in the room. It grows to around 30cm high and has serrated leaves on the edges. The structure of the leaves is particularly striking. On each leaf there are numerous small, pointed elevations (“bullae”), each with a hair on the tip. Between these bullae the leaf is sunken and reddish in color. Depending on how much light it gets, this red color can also affect larger parts of the leaf.

It has rather inconspicuous, small, white flowers and short inflorescences.

You will receive an approximately 10cm high plant in an 8.5cm pot.
